The European Interreg 2Seas 3i- project stimulates the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (uav’s) in the maritime environment. ‘3i’ is an acronym for Integrated Coastal Zone Management via Increased situational awareness through Innovations on Unmanned Aircraft Systems. In 3i-England, France, and The Netherlands combine research efforts into unmanned aerial vehicles for maritime applications.

April 10th representatives of 3i were invited to address the audience at the GAME | SET | MATCH - work and play conference of the European Interreg IV A Programme “2 Mers Seas Zeeën” VIVID.
Stefan van Seters connected knowledge of Unmanned Aircraft (3i) to knowledge of games, simulations, animations and apps (VIVID).
In the may-edition of Geospatial Word, the monthly magazine wich adresses current and releant issues of the Global Geospatial domain, much attention was payed to UAS Case Studies. The 3i project was one of them.
The magazine was handed out to the 1500 delegates from 80 countries at the Geospatial World Forum in Rotterdam.
